Hydrant system

Fire hydrant pump systems (also known as fire pumps, hydrant boosters, fire water pumps) are high pressure water pumps designed to increase the fire fighting capacity of a building by boosting the pressure in the hydrant service when mains is not enough, or when tank fed.

Fire Fighting Hydrant Systems are the most commonly used systems, in many residential and industrial projects. If you have ever seen a “Red” colour pipe, circulating around a building or factory, you have seen a Fire Hydrant Pipe. In most news clippings about a fire, you can see a fireman shooting water up to 8 stories high or more, that fire man is using the Fire Hydrant System. Such is the power of the Fire Hydrant System that water can be shot right up to 8 floor, directly into the fire.

Fire Hydrant Systems forms the basis, of Fire Protection Systems, without Fire Hydrant System a Fire Protection System cannot be called a Fire Protection System. It will be a superficial system. (With respect to large areas, in general). Fire Hydrant System installation is relatively easy.

Never underestimate a fire. With enough oxygen and other fuels, even the smallest flame can turn into a full-scale blaze, destroying everything in its path in just six minutes. The problem is, even if fire fighters are rushing to your aid, external factors such as traffic and construction could prevent them from reaching you in time. Which means that to beat a fire, you need two important things on your side: Quick response time and a powerful fire fighting equipment that’s easily accessible on the premises A fire hydrant is now a days mandatory for any premises.

A fire hydrant system is the standalone fire fighter in any establishment. A Hydrant system is basically water distribution network backed by a number of components & accessories like fire pumps, piping system, water tank etc.
